Karam Alhamad is a human rights activist, photographer, policy advocate and international development professional. He holds a BA in Economics and Politics from Bard College Berlin. Karam joined the Syrian revolution against the Assad dictatorship and helped to document the atrocities with his camera. He has created and managed several local Syrian media outlets since 2011, among them Lens of a young Deri. As a photographer, he has worked with AFP and Reuters.
